The exec continues to be a key ally for new entertainment co-chairman Paul Telegdy.
Lesley Cerwin continues to be a key member of new NBC Entertainment co-chairman Paul Telegdy.
Cerwin has been promoted from senior vp alternative programming to senior vp strategic business initiatives at the broadcast network. She will report to NBC Entertainment co-chairmen Telegdy and George Cheeks. (The duo were tapped last fall to replace Bob Greenblatt in the top role at the network.)
In her new post, Cerwin will identify growth opportunities for NBC Entertainment, collaborate with senior leadership to foster relationships for the company, maximize opportunities for talent and attract new partnerships. She also will oversee the division's Symphony efforts. Symphony is the internal initiative for cross-promotions within the larger NBCUniversal and Comcast organization.
“Lesley is an integral part of our organization, and this expanded role will enable her to help grow our business in new and meaningful ways,” Cheeks and Telegdy said Tuesday in a joint statement. “With the constantly shifting television landscape, Lesley’s unique perspective and ability to partner across the portfolio will help ensure NBC Entertainment stays ahead of the competitive curve.”
During her time in the alternative department, Cerwin worked closely with Telegdy in maximizing NBC's slate, teaming with producers, studio partners and talent by partnering with marketing, sales, digital, social and publicity. Before that, she was a senior vp in NBC's PR department, running point on the alternative group and its top execs, including Teledgy.
