Letterman, Winfrey, Leno together in ad

Trio join up for Super Bowl spot promoting 'Late Show'

David Letterman, Oprah Winfrey and Jay Leno surprised Super Bowl viewers Sunday by appearing together in a promo for CBS' "Late Show With David Letterman" during CBS Sports’ coverage of the game.

The spot -- shot last week at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York, where "Late Show" tapes -- featured the trio sitting on a couch watching the game.

"This is the worst Super Bowl party ever," Letterman grouses.

"He’s just saying that because I’m here," Leno responds.

This isn't Letterman and Winfrey's first time together in a Super Bowl spot: They previously appeared together in a "Late Show" promo that aired in 2007.
