Levy to head AFTRS for four more years

Government extends contract for top film school boss

SYDNEY – Sandra Levy has had her tenure as CEO of the Australian Film, Television and Radio School extended for another four years, federal arts minister Peter Garrett said Wednesday.

Levy is a former independent TV producer and director of television at the Australian Broadcasting Corp.

As CEO of AFTRS, the country’s pre-eminent film school, since 2007, Levy has raised the school’s profile with the industry and the general public.

"Her strong leadership credentials have led to improved access to the many programs, activities and facilities run by the school," Garrett said.
