Liam Neeson's 'The Commuter' Pushed to Early 2018
Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga and Jonathan Banks also star in Lionsgate's action film.
Lionsgate isn't ready for The Commuter just yet.
The studio has pushed the Liam Neeson starrer to early 2018. It will now be released wide on Jan. 12, 2018, opposite Fox's threequel Maze Runner: The Death Cure, Studio 8's Matthew McConaughey drug drama White Boy Rick and Paramount's animated Sherlock Gnomes.
Also starring Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga and Jonathan Banks, the action-thriller was previously scheduled to open on Oct. 13, 2017. It sees Neeson playing an insurance salesman in the midst of his daily commute who is forced by a mysterious stranger (Farmiga) to uncover the identity of a passenger before the train’s last stop.
The Commuter is the fourth collaboration between Neeson and director Jaume Collet-Serra, after Unknown, Non-Stop and Run All Night. Philip de Blasi and Byron Willinger wrote the script.
