'Lila, Lila' screening at Zurich festival
Comedy stars Daniel Bruhl, Hannah HerzsprungCOLOGNE, Germany -- "Lila, Lila," a German-language comedy starring local stars Daniel Bruhl and Hannah Herzsprung, will have its world premiere as the opening film at this year's Zurich Film Festival.
Based on the novel by Martin Suter, in "Lila, Lila," a waiter (Bruhl, "Goodbye, Lenin!"), desperate to impress the beautiful Marie (Herzsprung, "4 Minutes"), pretends to be an author. He finds a manuscript in a junk shop and passes it off as his own. Trouble arises when "his" debut novel becomes a best-seller and the real author tracks him down.
The film's stars, along with Suter and director Alain Gsponer will be on hand for the Swiss premiere.
The fifth Zurich Film Festival is set for Sept. 24-Oct. 4.
