Exec oversees ad sales, marketing at cable nets

NEW YORK -- Turner Entertainment has promoted Linda Yaccarino to executive vp and COO of ad sales/marketing and acquisitions.

Yaccarino had been overseeing ad sales and marketing for TBS, TNT and TruTV, and she'll continue to serve in that capacity. But her new responsibilities include Turner Entertainment's program acquisitions and Peachtree TV, the Atlanta station owned by Turner. She'll report to Turner Broadcasting Sales president David Levy and Turner Entertainment Networks president Steve Koonin.

Reporting to Yaccarino will be Jonathan Katz, senior vp and GM of program planning, acquisitions and Peachtree TV. Katz will also report to Stu Snyder, president and COO of Turner Animation, Young Adults and Kids Media.

Yaccarino had been executive vp and GM of Turner Entertainment ad sales. She joined Turner in 1993 in the syndication division, left to become vp sales at CNBC and then returned as vp/sales manager for Turner Entertainment sales in 1997 and became senior vp in 1999. Before joining Turner, she was at Select Media Communications.
