Lindsay Lohan says she’d be thrilled to be cast as  Victoria Gotti in Fiore Films' Gotti: Three Generations, which stars John Travolta as mob boss John Gotti Sr.

"I've known [Victoria] and the family for many years and she's a strong willed woman,” she tells E! News. “She is completely devoted to her family and I admire her strength and self respect," said the actress.
Victoria agrees, saying Lohan would be “great” playing her on the big screen. “I think she's got what it takes...I think Lindsay can play anyone, but I've always thought that...before we even met. I'd be content if she was chosen. Absolutely."
At a press conference announcing the project in NYC Tuesday, Lohan sat in the audience alongside Victoria and later posed for press photographers and cameras.
"This is probably the most interesting untold story in this country," Travolta said, adding that a recent five-hour long meeting with Gotti Jr. convinced him to sign on to the project.
Based on the life of Gotti Jr. and his relationship with his father, who ran the Gambino crime family before him, actor-writer Leo Rossi (Analyze This) wrote the screenplay for the film after Gotti Jr. sold the rights to his life story to Fiore Films.
Principal photography is set to start in October, with a theatrical release planned for late 2012.
