Lionsgate gets DVD rights to Little Tikes

First of four titles set for release in the fall

TORONTO – Lionsgate on Thursday secured the North American DVD distribution rights to the Little Tikes property from Bratz dollmaker MGA Entertainment.

The deal for the CGI-animated product follows Vancouver-based Lionsgate pacting with HIT Entertainment and LeapFrog Enterprises to expand in the family home entertainment market.

Lionsgate, which already handles MGA Entertainment's Bratz doll line, secures the DVD, electronic sell-through and VOD rights to product featuring Little Tikes characters created under the Animated Little Tikes Entertainment label.

Lionsgate will initially handle four animated Little Tikes titles, with the first, "Little Tikes Land," set for release in the fall.
