Lionsgate and Studiocanal Pact On Miramax DVD Distribution
Twin studios grab worldwide distribution rights to 550 Miramax library titles.
TORONTO -- Lionsgate and Studiocanal home entertainment arms have teamed up to release around 550 library titles from Miramax.
The distribution pact sees Lionsgate and Studiocanal grab the worldwide rights to catalogue fare from Miramax, including Pulp Fiction, The English Patient, Shakespeare in Love and Chicago.
The titles will be distributed via DVD, Blu-ray, EST and Internet VOD, and cable VOD internationally.
Lionsgate will partner with Studiocanal to release the Miramax titles in the U.K. and Europe.
The pact was unveiled by Lionssgate president and co-COO Steve Beeks, and Olivier Courson, CEO of Studiocanal, and Miramax CEO Mike Lang.
