Lionsgate, Televisa to announce joint venture

Pantelion to focus on films aimed at U.S. Latino moviegoers

Lionsgate is going after the Latino film market, forming a joint venture with Mexican media conglomerate Televisa, the New York Times reported.

The joint venture, dubbed Pantelion Films, aims to release eight to 10 films a year over the next five years that are targeted at Latino moviegoers in the U.S.

The news is expected to be officially announced Tuesday.
