Liza Chasin to Exit Working Title After 25 Years (Exclusive)
Working Title co-chairman Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner told staff Monday in an email.
Liza Chasin, who has spent 25 years at Working Title Films and is the president of the British company’s U.S. arm, is leaving the firm.
Working Title co-chairman Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner made the announcement to staff Monday in an email. The two will immediately seek to find a replacement for Chasin, who will segue to the role of an independent producer. The trio will still collaborate as Chasin becomes a producer on several Working Title projects.
Chasin joined Working Title in 1991 as its director of development, working her way up the ranks to president of production.
Her credits are vast. As co-producer and executive producer, Chasin worked on movies ranging from 1998’s Cate Blanchett period drama Elizabeth, 2001’s Bridget Jones’s Diary and 2002’s Hugh Grant hit About a Boy to more recent movies such 2012’s all-star musical Les Miserables, Edgar Wright’s At World’s End and The Danish Girl.
This year brought forth Wright’s latest hit, Baby Driver, and the period drama Victoria & Abdul. Up next is the much-buzzed about awards contender, Darkest Hour.
Chasin also was spearheading the company into television with a small-screen version of About a Boy and the recent Netflix drama Gypsy starring Naomi Watts.

It is with mixed emotions that we share some news with you about the Working Title Los Angeles office. After more than 25 years of incredible collaboration, Liza Chasin has decided to leave the company at the end of the year.
Since 1991, Liza has been an integral part of our organization. Her talent relationships and creative contribution to our business have been immeasurable. She has shepherded countless films and, more recently, TV productions to life, garnering huge success and multiple awards. We are very sad to see her leave but feel fortunate that Liza will continue with us as a producer on many of the projects we have been developing together.
Liza wanted to share a note with you. "Working Title has been my second family for more than 25 years, and Tim and Eric have provided me with an incredible opportunity to be a part of building an exceptional brand with them. For that I am massively grateful. Now, I am very excited for my next chapter, where I will continue to create original content with great talent."
On behalf of the entire organization, we would like to thank Liza for her countless contributions to our company. She has been a tremendous asset and a partner in the truest sense of the word.
We remain committed to continuing a strong and robust presence in the US and look forward to more growth on both the film and television side as we go forward.
Please join us in congratulating Liza and wishing her well in the future.
Eric and Tim
