The British import readies an April 2 opening with a private Soho House tea.

L.K. Bennett, the British brand with stores in New York, is readying to open its first free-standing West Coast boutique at L.A.'s Beverly Center on April 2. If you’re not familiar with the label, it is known for simple, on-trend clothes and accessories — think sophisticated leather wrap skirts, patent leather pumps and a brand-new collection of colorfully embroidered heels and clutches designed by street-style star and Tank magazine fashion director Caroline Issa.

The L.A. store — which will be the brand's seventh standalone in the States — will be welcomed to town with a private Soho House tea hosted by spring campaign star, Rosamund Pike, on March 14.

The English actress and former Bond girl appears in the label's latest ads wearing a red poppy-colored dress (pictured) and floral pointy toe pumps that give a glimpse of the spring-appropriate lavender-, lemon- and blush-toned goods expected at the new boutique.

The London-based company has nearly 160 stores worldwide and has hired L.A. PR firm MHA Media to facilitate its red-carpet push.
