Locarno honoring Anjelica Huston

Festival to give actress Excellence Award

TAORMINA, Italy -- The Locarno Film Festival said Tuesday that it would present Oscar-winning actress Anjelica Huston with the Excellence Award at this year's festival, ahead of the European premiere of the black comedy "Choke," in which she stars.

The award, for career achievements, will be presented Aug. 9 at the festival's famous Piazza Grande. Past winners include Willem Defoe, John Malkovich and Susan Sarandon.

The 61st edition of the Locarno fest is set for Aug. 6-16.
