Lopez among those who number 'Eight'

Mario Lopez, Johnny Lewis, Christina Milian and Robert Ri'chard have been tapped to star in the CW comedy pilot "Eight Days a Week." Meanwhile, Kyla Pratt is set as the lead in the CW comedy pilot "Hell on Earth," while Leslie Bibb is set as the female lead opposite Freddie Prinze Jr. in CBS' comedy pilot "Atlanta."

Additionally, Tembi Locke, Jon Rowland, Rod Rowland, Scarlett Chorvat and Diego Serrano have joined Fox's "Born in the USA," while Cynthia Addai-Robinson and Bert Belasco have been added to the CW's "Dash 4 Cash."

"Eight," from CBS Paramount Network TV and Hazy Mills, revolves around four twentysomethings who work under the top movers and shakers in New York.

Lopez will play one of the bosses, an impeccably dressed wunderkind with a cell phone attached to his ear. Milian will play one of the assistants, a beautiful, young woman who left behind a law career to start over as a receptionist/gofer at an art gallery. Lewis will play another assistant, a struggling rock musician who works for a big-name rock-band publicist. Ri'chard will play Lopez's character's assistant, a BlackBerry-wielding go-getter.

Lopez's casting stems from his talent holding deal with the CW. He is hot off his stint on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," and recently joined entertainment newsmagazine "Extra" as co-host/correspondent, as well as hosted the 2007 Miss America Pageant and signed on to star in the ABC Family original movie "Holidays in Handcuffs." He is repped by TalentWorks' Joel Dean, 3 Arts Entertainment and attorney Eric Weissler.

Lewis (APA, Renna Management) recently recurred on Fox's "The O.C." He next appears in the features "Palo Alto" and "Alien vs. Predator: AVP2."

Actress-singer Milian (Endeavor, Greenlight Management, Carmen Milian) has appeared in such features as "Torque," "Man of the House," "Be Cool" and "Love Don't Cost a Thing."

Ri'chard (Landis-Simon Prods. and Talent Management) co-starred on UPN's "One on One" and recently appeared in multiple episodes of the CW's "Veronica Mars."

"Hell," from CBS Par TV, centers on spoiled, rude, privileged girl (Pratt) who dies in a crash, goes to hell but is sent back to Earth as an ordinary girl from the wrong side of the tracks. "One on One" star Pratt (Landis-Simon) co-starred in the "Dr. Dolittle" films and "Fat Albert."

"Atlanta," from CBS Par TV, revolves around a man (Prinze) and woman (Bibb) who meet at a funeral and can't seem to stay away from one another.

Bibb recently recurred on NBC's "Crossing Jordan" and co-starred in "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby." She is repped by ICM and Raw Talent.

"Born," from 19 Entertainment, is a blue-collar soap set in Philadelphia. Locke will play an outspoken larger-than-life mother of a teenage daughter (Lisa Tucker). Jon Rowland will play a young Catholic priest. Rod Rowland will play a divorced father. Chorvat (Metropolitan, McKeon-Myones Management) and Serrano (Bauman, Redanty & Shaul, McKeon-Myones) will play an engaged couple.

Locke (Stone Manners, McGowan Management) co-starred on NBC's "Wildfall" and next appears in the Hallmark Channel mini "Final Approach." Jon Rowland (Ellis Talent Group, McGowan Management) recently wrapped production on the indie "The Appearance of Things." Rod Rowland (Origin Talent, Himber Entertainment), who recurs on "Veronica Mars," recently wrapped feature "I Know Who Killed Me."

In the TV race comedy "Dash 4 Cash," from CBS Par TV and Grammnet Prods., Addai-Robinson (APA, Liebman Entertainment) and Belasco (TalentWorks, Essential Talent) will play contestants.
