One of the first to arrive at Sunday's VMAs, Lorde made quite the entrance.

The singer hit the blue carpet in a lavender strapless ball gown with a feather skirt from L.A.-based designer Monique Lhuillier's spring 2018 collection. Styled by Karla Welch, Lorde has gone from glam goth to high-fashion princess. The performer's look was paired with a wavy 'do and natural blush.

Lorde has had a busy summer, performing at a number of music festivals across the country. She'll also be hitting the stage during the VMAs.

In addition to her performance, Lorde is nominated for best artist of the year and her single, "Green Light," is up for best editing.
