Los Angeles DJ-Producer Pumpkin Dies in Car Crash

Both drivers died at the scene of the accident.

Nicholas Alvarado, a Los Angeles DJ-producer known as Pumpkin, has died after being involved in a car crash in Texas on Friday night.

His manager Santiago Torrecilla on Saturday confirmed Alvarado's passing to Billboard, and said both drivers had died at the scene of the accident.

Pumpkin was a favorite of Los Angeles artists collective and event company The DoLab and had previously played at festivals including Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle and Electric Daisy Carnival. He was reportedly on his way to the Head for the Hills festival in Kerrville, Texas at the time of the accident.
