Lou Diamond Phillips joins 'Carny' cast

Sci Fi movie will shoot in Ottawa

TORONTO -- Lou Diamond Phillips has joined the U.S. Sci Fi Channel TV movie "Carny" from Muse Entertainment and Brava Pictures to shoot in Ottawa, it was announced Wednesday.

Phillips will play a small-town sheriff up against a revengeful beast that escapes from a visiting carnival sideshow.

RHI Entertainment holds the international rights to "Carny," which also will air on the Super Channel in Canada.

Muse Entertainment's Michael Prupas and RHI Entertainment's Robert Halmi Sr. and Robert Halmi Jr. share the executive producer credits.
