The Orchard will roll out the John Malkovich and Chloe Grace Moretz-starrer Nov. 17, before the dark comedy goes wider Dec. 1.

The Orchard will release Louis C.K.'s I Love You, Daddy on Nov. 17 after acquiring the dark comedy at the Toronto Film Festival.

The black-and-white film will be rolled out theatrically in New York and Los Angeles, before going wider across North America on Dec. 1.

Written by C.K. from a story he wrote with Vernon Chatman, the film centers on a successful TV writer-producer (C.K.) who tries to prevent his 17-year-old daughter (Chloe Grace Moretz) from falling for a lecherous 68-year-old filmmaker (John Malkovich).

Charlie Day, Edie Falco, Rose Byrne, Pamela Adlon, Ebonee Noel and Helen Hunt round out the cast.

The Orchard had planned a fall release for I Love You, Daddy after picking up the film at TIFF with a reported $5 million price tag. C.K. shot the film entirely in secret this summer.

He also financed and edited the project.
