'Lovely Bones' gets home video date

Film to be released April 20 on DVD, Blu-ray, VOD

Paramount Home Entertainment will release Peter Jackson's fantasy thriller "The Lovely Bones" on multiple home-entertainment platforms April 20.

A $43 million domestic grosser theatrically, "Bones" will be released simultaneously on DVD, Blu-ray and video-on-demand. Special features of the two-disc Blu-ray edition include an extensive production diary in 15 segments, hosted by Jackson and Philippa Boyens, the film's co-screenwriter (with Fran Walsh).

The Mark Wahlberg-Rachel Weisz starrer was adapted from an Alice Sebold novel of the same name. Stanley Tucci drew an Oscar nomination in a supporting role; Saoirse Ronan plays a 14-year-old girl whose murder figures centrally in the film's atmospheric yarn.

Suggested retail price on the "Bones" DVD is $19.99. The Blu-ray version carries an SRP of $29.99.
