Lupita Nyong'o to Present at GLAAD Media Awards

The Oscar-winner adds star wattage to an event that will also feature Jennifer Lopez and Ellen Page.

Fresh off her best supporting actress win at the Oscars, Lupita Nyong'o has been named a presenter at the 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards.

Nyong'o will be joined at the LGBT media advocacy group's annual awards by Ellen Page, who will present the Stephen F. Kolzak Award to Orange is the Black star Laverne Cox, and Jennifer Lopez, slated to receive the Vanguard Award.

Also scheduled to appear at the event, held April 12 at the Beverly Hilton, are The Big Bang Theory's Johnny Galecki and Orphan Black stars Tatiana Maslany and Jordan Garvaris.

The first-ever International Advocate for Change Award will go to Manny de Guerre, the founder of the Side by Side LGBT Film Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia. The festival was disrupted with bomb threats and anti-gay protesters amid the country's growing climate of intolerance towards LGBT citizens.

Awards in 20 categories will be announced at the event, where Blue is the Warmest Color, Dallas Buyers Club, Kill Your Darlings, Philomena and The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones are vying for top wide-release film honors. In the TV drama category, The Fosters, Grey's Anatomy, Orphan Black, Pretty Little Liars and Shameless are all up for an award.
