Luthardt heading jury on Berlinale panel
Director will bring 'Day I Met My Dead Husband' to the festCOLOGNE, Germany -- German director Matthias Luthardt has been named president of the Dialogue en perspective jury, the independent French-German panel that honors a film screened in the Perspectives on German Cinema section of the Berlin International Film Festival.
Luthardt's directing debut, the dark family drama "Pingpong," owes much to French cinema and was a cross-border critical success after its debut in Cannes in 2006. He will present his new film "Der Tag an dem ich meinen toten Mann traf" (The Day I Met My Dead Husband) as part of a special screening during the Berlinale.
This year's festival runs Feb. 5-15.
