L'Wren Scott Laid to Rest in L.A.
The designer, who took her own life March 17 at age 49, was laid to rest Tuesday with Mick Jagger and Nicole Kidman in attendance.
A little more than a week after her shocking suicide, L'Wren Scott was laid to rest at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Tuesday. Among those who attended the private, 70-person ceremony was the late designer's longtime boyfriend Mick Jagger, brother Randy Bambrough, creative manager Justinian Kfoury and O Magazine creative director Adam Glassman. Longtime styling client Nicole Kidman, who frequently wore Scott's designs on the red carpet, also was in attendance.
According to a statement sent by Jagger representatives, actress Ellen Barkin and Jagger's daughter Karis each read poems. The Rolling Stones frontman's grandchildren read "Psalm 23," and his daughter Jade, a popular jewelry designer, read "Psalm 139." Rolling Stones background singer Bernard Fowler joined former Eurythmics member Dave Stewart in performing "Will the Circle be Unbroken."
The designer and stylist, who appeared on The Hollywood Reporter's 25 Most Powerful Stylists List in 2013, was cremated, per her wishes.
