Macklemore, Ryan Lewis and Leon Bridges, accompanied by an orchestra, perform at the 2015 American Music Awards.

The duo unveiled the second single from their new album.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have a new album on the way. We’ve already heard "Downtown," and, at the American Music Awards, the Seattle duo unveiled another new song, called "Kevin."

Following an introduction from The Ridiculous 6 stars Taylor Lautner and Terry Crews, the song performance opened with Macklemore alone onstage at the mic, backed by black-and-white visuals of a stormy sky. By the time a small orchestra revealed itself, it was clear that this was going to be a heavy one.

"Kevin" is a serious song about the perils of prescription-pill addiction, name-checking the likes of Adderall and Xanax. And for the chorus, retro R&B crooner Leon Bridges snagged the spotlight for a somber guest part. “Put down the pen and look in my eye,” sang Bridges.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis currently are prepping the highly anticipated follow-up to their 2012 LP The Heist.
