Madonna Helps Send Crazed Stalker and Burglar to Mental Hospital

In a statement to the court, the pop singer says she's extremely unsettled by Grzegorz Matlok's actions.

A man who broke into Madonna and ex-husband Guy Ritchie’s homes has been admitted to a psychiatric hospital by a British court and the singer helped send him away.

According to the Winnipeg Free Press, Madonna submitted a statement to the Southwark Crown Court in London describing how Polish citizen Grzegorz Matlok has made her feel after he was caught burglarizing her home in March, breaking into her ex-husband’s home last year, and claimed to police that he’s her lover.

"I do not know the defendant, I've not had any form of relationship with the defendant nor have I had any form of contact by phone or by email, or by any other way, with the defendant,” Madonna’s statement reads. "In particular, I've never given the defendant permission to enter the premises or any of my other premises.”

Last March, Matlok was caught in Madonna’s London home by her security with several of the singer’s possessions. It was later revealed that he also broke into Ritchie’s country residence last year and tried on his clothes.

"It is extremely unsettling to know that, despite the extensive security I have, he has been able to break into two of my residential properties," the singer’s statement goes on to say.

Matlok has been ordered to a psychiatric hospital for an indefinite amount of time as the judge feels he poses a risk to Madonna’s safety. He has also been ordered to stay 100 meters (a little more than a half a mile) away from the singer and her properties.

The singer has been the center of controversy recently. This news follows reports that she was booed at a London premiere of her film W.E., and her brother’s admission that he is homeless.
