Madonna tour seeing quick sellouts

Tickets go fast in Paris, Boston, Chicago, New York

NASHVILLE -- Initial onsales for Madonna's upcoming Sticky & Sweet tour are off to a strong start, with weekend sellouts reported in Paris (Sept. 20), Boston (Oct. 15) and Chicago (Oct. 26), followed by sellouts in New York on Monday morning. Performances at Madison Square Garden (Oct. 6-7) quickly went clean, followed by a third show now confirmed for Oct. 11.

The tour will begin Aug. 23 in Cardiff, Wales, and will play arenas and stadiums throughout Europe including a number of cities where Madonna has not performed in the past 15 years, or ever. The tour begins in North America on Oct. 4 at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J., with most U.S. dates going on sale May 24.

Live Nation Global Touring chairman Arthur Fogel is the worldwide producer of the tour.
