Magic Castle Death Ruled Suicide by Coroner
Veteran magician Daryl Easton was 61.
A well-known magician whose body was discovered Friday at the Magic Castle committed suicide, the Los Angeles County coroner's office told The Hollywood Reporter.
Daryl Easton, 61, died from hanging, Ed Winter, coroner's office spokesman told THR. Taking his own life was intentional, Winter added.
"The initial report was accident/suicide, but after the autopsy was done, it's been ruled a suicide," Winter said, again confirming it was no accident.
There were reports over the weekend the hanging was accidental. Daryl spent seven years performing as a headliner at Caesars Palace.
"Daryl has performed literally thousands of shows for audiences as diverse as the Witch Doctors on the South Pacific island of Vanuatu to the movers and shakers of the political world at the Presidential Ball in Washington, D.C.," read a statement from the Magic Castle.
