'Magic in the Moonlight' Trailer: Emma Stone, Colin Firth Star in Woody Allen Comedy (Video)

The film, written and directed by Allen, hits theaters on July 25.

In the first look at Magic in the Moonlight, Colin Firth and Emma Stone may just be falling in love.

The trailer for the film, written and directed by Woody Allen, showcases the costumes, scenery and mood of 1920s France. According to the synopsis, the film is "a romantic comedy about an Englishman brought in to help unmask a possible swindle."

STORY: Emma Stone to Star Opposite Joaquin Phoenix in Woody Allen's Next Movie 

The film is Allen's follow-up to 2013's Blue Jasmine, which earned Cate Blanchett an Academy Award for her performance. Marcia Gay Harden, Hamish Linklater and Jacki Weaver also star.

Sony Classics is distributing the film, which is set for release on July 25 in U.S. theaters.
