Magnet attracts 'Right One' rights

NEW YORK -- Magnolia Pictures' genre arm Magnet has bitten into North American rights for the coming-of-age vampire film "Let The Right One In."

Tomas Alfredson's Swedish-language horror film follows a bullied, adolescent boy who falls for a girl who may just be a vampire.

Alfredson's feature debut was adapted by Swedish author John Ajvide Lindqvist from his novel. Despite the 12-year-old lead characters, the sometimes violent film is aimed at an adult audience.

Bavaria Film International repped sales of the European Film Market project and negotiated the deal with Magnolia's Tom Quinn and Jason Janego.
