Mahindra Fest to run Nov. 11-15 in New York

9th annual Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival

The ninth annual Mahindra Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival, will run from Nov. 11-15 in New York City.

Open night will take place at the Paris Theatre; screenings and panels will be held at the Quad Cinema in Greenwich Village and the closing night awards ceremony is set for the Walter Reade Theatre at Lincoln Center.

Conceived in 1998, the Indo-American Arts Council is dedicated to showcasing and celebrating artists of Indian origin in North America. Aroon Shivdasani, IAAC's executive director, said, "I am thrilled to be joining with L. Somi Roy, our Film Festival director, in presenting an exciting five-day showcase of the best of Indian filmmaking."

Aug. 1 is the deadline for film submissions.
