Makeup Split - H 2015

With nearly 100 events surrounding awards season (think nomination announcement days and actual awards shows big and small), the need for hair and makeup knows no bounds.

Enter Hollywood’s most sought-after beauty pros that count the stretch of red-carpet events happening from September through March as their industry Olympics.

They start the season with their kits (read: multiple rolling suitcases, trunks and fanny packs full of products) brimming with multiple brands of volumizers, bronzers, lip-glosses and flexible hold hairsprays, prepped for just about anything a celeb or their stylist might request.

But through it all, there are those one or two hero products that, regardless of an updo or beachy wave, smokey eye or '40s gel liner flick, the artist relies on to get red-carpet ready results -— a  secret weapon to get see them through the frenzied season of endless events and ensure flawless work every time.

Mara Roszak, celebrity hairstylist for L'Oreal Paris (Clients: Emma Stone and Zoe Saldana)

L’Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It High Lift Creation Spray ($3.99) is amazing, because it gives instant volume and hold like a volumizer and hairspray would give. So it’s one product that works double for you!

L’Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Sleek It Strand Smoother Serum Spray ($3.99), because it’s the best shine spray, and hair always looks gorgeous on the red carpet with a bit of shine.

I also love the ghd Curve Classic Wave Wand ($245) — it’s a staple styler for me.

Tom Bachik, global manicurist for L’Oreal Paris (Clients: Jennifer LopezBeyonce and Heidi Klum)

L’Oreal Paris Age Perfect Glow Renewal Oil ($17.99) is technically a facial oil, but I love to use it on the cuticles. Hydration is the best- kept secret and this oil keeps cuticles healthy and your nails and nail polish flexible and resilient. Plus it penetrates quickly without the greasy feel, which is good for red carpet.

Lorri Goddard, celebrity hair colorist and co-owner of Goddard + Bragg salon (Clients: Reese WitherspoonJennifer Lawrence and Rooney Mara)

Grown Alchemist Chamomile Conditioner ($26.95) is the best set detangler and instant shine around with no heavy oils, so hair stays red carpet ready longer.

Kinara Red Carpet Kit ($145) for bright clear skin.

Sachajuan Silver Shampoo ($28) gives shine and brightens highlights.

Chris Turner-Bragg, hair stylist and co-owner of Goddard + Bragg Salon

Sachajuan Finish Cream ($26) controls, moisturizes, and creates definition while adding shine to the hair.

Serge Normant Meta Sheer Dry Oil ($24) helps with fly aways and smoothing around the hairline without weighing the hair down.

Sachajuan Ocean Mist ($28) adds texture to the hair to give it that undone look.

Mai Quynh, celebrity makeup artist (Clients: Chloe Grace Moretz and Reese Witherspoon)

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ($62) — I love the texture, finish and coverage of this foundation. It looks beautiful on camera and in photos. For sheerer coverage, I mix it with La Prairie Cellular Time Release Moisturizer ($185) and apply it with a very damp sponge. They have a huge color range too, so it's easy to find a match!

Velour Lashes ($30 to $50) — These mink lashes add the perfect amount of drama to the eyes. They make a variety of individual lashes as well as natural and lavish strip lashes. I love finishing the eyes with Velour Lashes because I know that they'll showcase my makeup look.
