Mancuso tapped for Arclight TV

Arclight Films has launched a television division and has tapped Angela Mancuso, former president of USA Cable Entertainment, to run it.

Arclight managing director Gary Hamilton said the plan for the new unit is to produce hourlong series, TV movies and miniseries. He also noted that Mancuso already is developing several series.

Mancuso began her career at HBO in New York, where she became senior vp production before moving to Lifetime to help launch the network's original programming.

Mancuso moved to Los Angeles to head the cable TV programming group at Universal, developing such projects as the series "Monk" and "Battlestar Galactica" and the miniseries "Traffic." (partialdiff)
