The 'Star Wars' actor was among the throngs of viewers to share their disappointment.

Among all the takes after Tuesday night's chaotic presidential debate, it was Mark Hamill who stole the (social media) show.

Following what was called a "shitshow" by CNN's Dana Bash, the Star Wars actor was among the throngs of viewers who shared their disappointment.

Hamill, an outspoken Donald Trump critic and vocal supporter of Joe Biden, tweeted, "That debate was the worst thing I've ever seen & I was in The Star Wars Holiday Special." The tweet was an instant hit, and as of Wednesday morning, it was shared close to 100,000 times and had more than 600,000 likes.

As fans know, the Holiday Special is the most bizarre Star Wars program ever created. Hamill, Harrison Ford and the late Carrie Fisher often joked about how they tried to forget that it existed.

As for politics, Hamill has used his vast social media audience (nearly 4 million followers) to encourage participation in the upcoming presidential election. Hamill was also critical of Trump during the debate, tweeting, "It was also embarrassing when tRUMP, after being asked to condemn white supremacists, replied: "Proud boys, stand back and stand by." It was beyond embarrassing, it was downright shameful. #TheWholeWorldIsWatching #EmbarrassmentInChief."
