Maron, Rajskub among stand-up highlights


ASPEN, Colo. - With the weekend fast approaching, several performers and films have created buzz at the 13th annual U.S. Comedy Arts Festival.

Among established talent, Marc Maron's stand-up and "24" star Mary Lynn Rajskub's performances earned strong reviews from audiences and industry observers.

In the annual standup showcases, Shane Mauss, Kirk Fox, John Mulaney, John Ramsey, Na'I'm Lynn, Dan Mintz, Ian Bagg, Hari Kondabolu and Lavell Crawford were among the performers drawing heat.

Stand-up show host Jon Fisch, and alternative performers Tim Minchin, "Daily Show" correspondent John Oliver and Charlene Yi also created buzz.

Among feature films, "Closing Escrow," "Colour Me Kubrick," "Ira & Abby," "Park," "Certifiably Jonathan" and "Cook-Off!" were among the films that earned some strong reviews early on.

Among shorts, Dan Mirvish's "Sheldon" and Bryan Sipe's "Alpha Mail" also created buzz.
