Martin insists he's not leaving FCC
WASHINGTON -- FCC chairman Kevin Martin isn't yet ready to hang up his regulatory spurs, as he denied rumors that he was going to leave the commission since it finished the media-ownership rulemaking. "I think there are lots of people that are wanting me to ride off into the sunset," he told reporters following Tuesday's meetings. "As a matter of fact, there seems like there's more and more of them." Despite those wishes, Martin said he plans to stay. "I've got no plans to ride off into the sunset," he said. "I plan on staying through President Bush's term."
