The London-based creative, whose designs have been seen on the likes of Kerry Washington and Lily James, will be given a 12-month period of mentorship and a £200,000 grant.

Mary Katrantzou, known for her vibrant patterns, was named the 2015 BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund winner on Tuesday. The London-based designer beat out a shortlist of talented designers including Sophia Webster, Emilia Wickstead, Holly Fulton, Michael van der Ham, Mother of Pearl's Amy Powney and Osman's Osman Yousefzada.

The fund — now in its sixth year — will provide the 31-year-old designer with a mentor for a 12-month period and a £200,000 grant to further help build upon her brand. Previous honorees include Peter Pilotto, Nicholas Kirkwood, Jonathan Saunders and Christopher Kane.

Katranzou most recently launched her Adidas collaboration in November, and her designs are already a red-carpet favorite — Kerry Washington, Lily James, Jenny Slate and Allison Williams are among those to have worn her pretty pieces as of late. After winning this award, we have a feeling we'll be seeing more her work on the carpet. Congrats, Mary Katrantzou!
