The outages come as fierce winds have been raging in the L.A. area.

Several Los Angeles neighborhoods lost power Tuesday evening as strong winds raged in Southern California.

Customers in Beverly Hills, Coldwater Canyon, Century City and West Hollywood were affected by the massive blackouts. The exact cause of all of the outages was not clear Tuesday night, but as of Wednesday morning, winds and downed trees were listed by Southern California Edison as reasons for the outage in some neighborhoods.

Roughly 3,300 Southern California Edison customers in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood lost power on Tuesday night, according to NBC 4, KABC and KTLA.

Power had been restored in some areas by 11:30 p.m. local time, according to CBS 2.

As of Wednesday morning, Southern California Edison's website still listed power outages in several L.A. neighborhoods, including Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and other parts of Los Angeles County. The power company is currently working to restore service, and customers can check on the latest here.

KCAL 9 reported Tuesday night that the affected area included a square from Santa Monica Blvd. to Sunset Blvd., west of Doheny.
