Matt Littin launches ErGo

Will provide venture capital, equity funding to businesses

New York-based investment firm ErGo Media Capital has launched under Cinetic Media co-founder Matt Littin.

ErGo Media will provide venture capital and equity funding to film, video game, music, TV and new-media businesses. Backed by Ergo Ventures -- which invests in aerospace, tech and other areas -- ErGo Media will invest up to $15 million in equity funding per transaction.

"With revolutionary changes taking place in technology and consumer behavior and a historic recession further pressuring traditional business models, the entertainment and media landscape is being reshaped," Littin said. "The company is positioning itself at the leading edge of these changes, providing risk capital to innovative companies at a moment when financing is relatively tight. It's an exciting moment to be launching our firm."

Littin spent 10 years at Cinetic Media and a predecessor entertainment and media advisory, Sloss Special Projects. He has participated in the sale of films including "Little Miss Sunshine," "Super Size Me" and "Napoleon Dynamite."
