MaxMara's Pre-Crystal and Lucy Awards Cocktail Party Brings Out the Chic
MaxMara welcomed Nicola Maramotti of the brand to L.A. with a party in honor of Chloe Grace Moretz and the MaxMara Women in Film Face of the Future Award.
Every year, Italian luxury brand MaxMara gives an award at the Women in Film Crystal and Lucy Awards for its "Face of the Future" -- Maria Bello, Emily Blunt, Ginnifer Goodwin and Katie Holmes have all been recipients of it. This year, the Face of the Future winner is Hugo's Chloe Grace Moretz, and the night before the WIF Crystal and Lucy awards -- on June 11 MaxMara threw a cocktail party in her honor at the Sunset Tower Hotel.
Of course the brand dressed a big smattering of chic actresses -- Moretz wore a lovely MM teal dress that's a great color for a blond who wants to make an entrance. Magic Mike star Cody Horn -- the daughter of executive Alan Horn and his former-model wife Cindy -- wore a killer hip MM black strapless jumpsuit. Jenna Elfman sported a Sportmax (another brand of the Italian fashion giant) sleeveless floral print studded dress that was super summery fresh. Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev, one of our fashion favorites, donned an MM white sleeveless top with ruffled, paired with a white MM skirt.
It was a great way to see the wide variety of looks the big brand has to offer for summer and pre-fall. Jennifer Morrison's coral strapless had great color, as did Olivia Munn's purple MaxMara. The brand also dressed lots of other guests, many of whom attended a dinner with Vanity Fair afterwards: Angela Lindvall (in a black MM chiffon dress), Amanda de Cadenet (in Sportmax peach and white dots), Francesca Eastwood (MM floral print), Gia Coppola (MM pink ruffled chiffon), Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka in an MM purple sleeveless), Mary Elizabeth Winstead in a show stopping MM yellow chiffon gown, and it went on and on.
Stylist Cher Coulter, George Kotsiopolous and Jessica Paster, designer/stylists Emily Current and Meritt Elliott, fashion pundit Derek Blasberg, ICM agent and former WIF president Iris Grossman, Kelly Lynch and Mitch Glazer, the very stylish Crystal Moffat Lourd and all manner of L.A. movers and shakers also turned up - as everybody loves a visiting fashion house on a summer night!
