McDougall on 'Watch' for NBC
EmptyCharles McDougall has been tapped to direct the NBC one-hour pilot "The Watch."
The project, from Sony Pictures TV and Pariah, was picked up to pilot in January. It subsequently was put on hold with a director contingency.
With McDougall on board, the contingency has been lifted and the pilot is going into production.
"Watch," from "There's Something About Mary" writers Ed Decter and John J. Strauss, revolves around a suburban Neighborhood Watch group gone awry.
On the pilot, McDougall also will serve as an executive producer alongside Decter, Strauss, Gavin Polone and Jamie Tarses.
McDougall, who directed the pilot for ABC's hit "Desperate Housewives," helmed the ABC drama pilot "Big Shots" this past development season. The project recently was picked up to series by the network, landing the coveted post-"Grey's Anatomy" time slot.
McDougall, whose recent credits also include Showtime's "The Tudors," is repped by Endeavor.
