MediaCorp. re-ups for Dis programming


SINGAPORE -- Singapore's sole free-TV broadcaster, MediaCorp. TV, has renewed its deal with Disney-ABC International Television (Asia Pacific), the Hong Kong-based Disney operation said Tuesday at the Los Angeles Screenings.

The deal covers live-action series including "Ugly Betty," "Brothers & Sisters," "Desperate Housewives," "Lost" and "Grey's Anatomy," current and library features, telefilms and specials for MediaCorp. TV's English-language Channel 5.

New and current library features from Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures and Miramax Films also are part of the agreement, Disney-ABC titles include "Flightplan," "Starsky & Hutch," "National Treasure," "The Pacifier" and "Freaky Friday" as well as the Disney Channel original movie "High School Musical" and its upcoming sequel, "High School Musical 2."

Financial terms were not disclosed.
