Meet an Emmy Nominee: 'The Leftovers' and 'The Handmaid's Tale' Star Ann Dowd
"Being nominated and being part of that conversation is pretty great," the double Emmy nominee says.
Ann Dowd can now be added to the list of double Emmy nominees alongside the likes of Sarah Paulson, Jon Hamm and Jim Parsons.
"I'm very fortunately nominated for two Emmys," Dowd told The Hollywood Reporter when she stopped by for a candid chat about her two shows, HBO's The Leftovers and Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale.
Dowd is nominated for outstanding guest actress in a drama series for The Leftovers and outstanding supporting actress in a drama series for The Handmaid's Tale. With two shows under her belt, the actress has plenty to choose from when it comes to picking her neighbors during the awards ceremony.
"For The Leftovers, I'd like to sit next to [co-star] Justin [Theroux], [co-creator/showrunner] Damon [Lindelof] and [co-creator/exec producer] Tom [Perrotta]," she says. "For The Handmaid's Tale, just my cast. We're family now."
