Mel Gibson Signs With CAA
The actor/director has not been repped by an agency since being dropped by WME in 2010.
Mel Gibson has signed with CAA, sources confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
The actor-turned-director was famously dropped in 2010 by WME following anti-semitic statements he made that went public. Gibson has not been represented by an agency since then.
CAA previously had a working relationship with the filmmaker, having sold and packaged his WWII epic Hacksaw Ridge.
The signing comes on the heels of Gibson's return to Hollywood favor, with Hacksaw Ridge earning over $150 million at the box office while earning him best director and picture nominations from the Golden Globes as well as wins for director of the year from the Capri Hollywood awards and movie of the year at the AFI Awards.
