Stylist Caley Rinker shares the step-by-step to getting 'The Big Bang Theory' star red-carpet ready.

For every flawless celebrity hitting the awards-show carpet, there’s an army of stylists and hair and makeup artists helping them primp and prep for the big day. Often leading the charge is A-lister stylist Caley Rinker, who has outfitted everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow to Gillian Jacobs. Here, Rinker takes us behind the scenes with comic actress Melissa Rauch of The Big Bang Theory ahead of the SAG Awards.

ALL THAT GLITTERS: Jewelry choices for the big night. (Photo: Caley Rinker)

I really wanted the jewelry to be minimal and not take away from the dress. I always bring multiple options on the day of the show so we can try when hair and makeup is all done.

NUDES AND NEUTRALS: Clutch and shoe options for Rauch's look. (Photo: Caley Rinker)

For shoes and bags we wanted to keep them neutral in golds and nudes. So many fun options to choose from, but we decided on the highest platform option. Platforms are sometimes the most comfortable and easiest to walk in, and we also wanted to make Melissa look as tall as possible!

I always make sure I’m there for my clients on big award-show days. You never know what can go wrong — a zip could break, a button can pop off. It’s so important to be prepared for anything!

We had two amazing gown options to choose from. It came down to a royal blue or this red Romona Keveza. I loved how simple yet edgy this dress was. It just fit her perfectly and showed off her tiny waist.

I love this picture because no matter what, we are always laughing and having fun. We chose jewelry by Sylvia and Cie. Very elegant and simple.

The final look was beyond stunning! I love when my clients look and feel their best because it really shows on the carpet. It’s not just about a great dress. It really does take a great team to make the look perfect. It has to all work together.
