Former 'Melrose Place' Star Indicted in Deadly Car Crash

Amy Locane faces charges in a New Jersey following fatal June incident.

Former Melrose Place star Amy Locane has been indicted on charges of aggravated assault and manslaughter in New Jersey following a fatal car crash earlier this year, according to the website TMZ.

Locane had crashed into the side of another car in Montgomery, NJ in June killing the woman in the front seat. Locane reportedly told police that she had been drinking wine before getting behind the wheel.

The star faces 10-30 years behind bars for the manslaughter charge -- and 5-10 years for the assault by auto charge.

Locane's attorney Blair Zwillman told the website he's "surprised" at the aggravated manslaughter charge.

"I don't believe it is supported by the law or the facts," he said.
