Oscars 2015: Meryl Streep Reacts Enthusiastically to Patricia Arquette's Call for Equal Wages

Streep applauds a strong advocate for women.

Best supporting actress nominee Meryl Streep went all fan girl for Patricia Arquette's activist message at the 87th Academy Awards on Sunday night.

Arquette's remarks from the stage while accepting her best supporting actress Oscar for Boyhood deserve to be repeated, like a verbal GIF: "To every woman who gave birth, to every taxpayer and citizen of this nation, we have fought for everybody else's equal rights. It's time to have wage equality once and for all and equal rights for women in the United States of America."

Fellow Oscar nominee Streep was so in agreement with Arquette that she began clapping and gesturing enthusiastically from her seat. Next to her, Jennifer Lopez also had a passionate response.
