Met Gala 2014: Black-and-White Gowns Grace the Carpet
Sarah Jessica Parker stunned in Oscar de la Renta and Hailee Steinfeld looked glamorous in Prabal Gurung.
The Met Gala has finally arrived with, many of its guests honoring the "Charles James: Beyond Fashion" theme in classic black-and-white gowns.
Sarah Jessica Parker looked glamorous, arriving in a voluminous, black-and-white Oscar de la Renta gown with long, matching white gloves. While we adored the actress' overall look, the best part had to be the back of her dress, which featured a checkered pattern and a highly visible Oscar de la Renta signature. Talk about classy.
Another actress to step out in the classic color combo was Hailee Steinfeld, who arrived on the arm of designer Prabal Gurung, in one of his designs. The Ender's Game star showed off her sophisticated side in a floor-length satin gown, which offered a sneak peek of her gold Charlotte Olympia shoes.
Anna Kendrick also made a statement on the carpet with her strapless J. Mendel gown with a mermaid tail.
