The costume jeweler releases a capsule collection inspired by the late American couturier -- just in time for the May 5 museum extravaganza.

With this year's Met Gala theme held in honor of the late American designer Charles James, costume jewelry heritage brand Miriam Haskell has designed a capsule collection to celebrate his designs of beautifully structured ball gowns.

STORY: Met Gala: The Guest-List Crackdown

Taking inspiration from James' elegant aesthetic, Haskell's line of baubles offers jet black-silver gems, based on the pinning and tucking of his designs, while the pearl and crystal pieces are influenced by his work with rouching and ruffling. The 11-piece collection, priced between $350 to $4,400, features pieces such as earrings with hand-wired Swarovski pearls and crystals ($350) and an oxidized silver-plated brass necklace with hand-wired starburst motifs of Swarovski faceted crystal stones ($1,600).

Even if you're not attending the grand ball on Monday night (a $25,000 ticket is pretty pricey, after all), at least you can pretend with some costume jewels.
