Metrodome inks iTunes download deal

Deal covers new and back catalog titles

LONDON -- U.K. distributor Metrodome, listed here on the Alternative Investment Market, has struck a download to own and download to rent deal with iTunes.

The deal covers new and back catalog titles for Metrodome Distribtuion with titles such as "Shifty," "Fifty Dead Men Walking" and "Genova" all up for grabs on the Apple Internet store.

Metrodome has already been working with Apple to promote releases and has held a brace of U.K. exclusive Apple in-store appearances at the Regent Street Apple Store.

The first featured an appearance and Q&A with director Richard Eyre to push his movie "The Other Man," starring Liam Neeson, Antonio Banderas and Laura Linney. The second appearance came from Eric Bana who held an in store event for "Love The Beast," a project he produced, directed and starred in.

No financial details were revealed.

Metrodome joins a growing list of U.K. distributors with relationships with Apple for its iTunes online shopfront. Others include Revolver Entertainment, French owned Optimum Releasing and Momentum Pictures.
