'Mia the mouse' heads for TV

Video game franchise developed by Sardine, Radio Canada

TORONTO -- Kutoka Interactive's "Mia the mouse" video game franchise is headed to TV via a development deal between indie producer Sardine Productions and Radio Canada for a new kids cartoon series.

Montreal-based animation house Sardine is to develop 26 half-hours of the "Mia" cartoon series for Radio Canada, the French-language public broadcaster.

The Canadian cartoon will portray Mia the mouse and her grandmother living in an old Victorian house with limitless adventure and exploration possibilities.
