Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd Reunite for Toyota Commercial
"We've got 3D movies," Lloyd says. "We've got fingerprint technology," Fox replies.
It's nice to see two old friends catching up, especially when they're talking about their time-traveling experiences.
In a new ad for Toyota, that is exactly what happens when Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd reminisce about their blockbuster Back to the Future franchise. Sitting at a table in a diner, the pair discuss the gadgets that now exist which were dreamt up for the second installment of the series when their characters, Marty McFly and Doc Brown, travel to 2015.
"We've got 3D movies," Lloyd says in the beginning of ad. "We've got fingerprint technology," Fox replies.
Toyota released a tease for the ad last week and the full version on Wednesday coinciding with Back to the Future Day -- the exact date in Back to the Future: Part II that Marty McFly travels to from 1985 in order to help his kids.
In an interview with THR, Lloyd said he would be interested in reprising his role of Doc for one more film if, and only if, the cast and crew from the original trilogy were all to return.
"I would love to do Doc again, no question," Lloyd said.
Another strange — but awesome for film and baseball fans — coincidence Lloyd touched on is the Cubs possibly making it to the World Series, which was predicted in Back to the Future: Part II.
Should that happen, Lloyd said he would be interested in throwing out the first pitch.
"Maybe it'll happen. We'll see," he said. "They got to get there first."
